THE MYSTERY OF THE MUSTARD SEED AND ITS VERY DEEPER MEANING AND SIGNIFICANCE TO THE WALK WITH THE LORD

At this moment in time we are going to take a spiritual journey and The LORD God Almighty, The LORD Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit is going to help us understand in a very deeper manner, a very critical message: The message of the mystery of the mustard seed.

1-The first extract from the mystery of the mustard seed is that it is the smallest of all seeds on the earth. Meaning that if one is not careful, then one can easily despise it, overlook it and look down upon it. The mustard seed is lowly and does not have anything much to draw us unto it; because it is almost beyond recognition due to its very small size.

So the mustard seed is a representation of humility; it is a representation of being humble. And the message from the mustard seed is that we need to embrace humility in our walk with The LORD Jesus Christ so that we aim not to be seen, recognized or exalted by men; but that we aim to be humble so that we be of servant-hood and not load it over others or acclaim master-hood in our walk with The LORD and in our service to others.

So, serving God and walking with The LORD calls for being humble. Hence the word: It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest of all seeds on earth. (Mark 4:31).

2-The second extract from the mystery of the mustard seed is that it has got the potential to become the largest plant in a garden; so long as it is planted. Meaning that the mystery of the mustard seed is a reflection of how when someone surrenders their life to The LORD Jesus Christ by being born again and receiving The LORD Jesus Christ as their personal saviour in Repentance for the forgiveness of their sins, they in essence becomes planted in the garden of The LORD. And so this is actually the meaning of being born again i.e. being planted at the garden of The LORD. And being born again does not have an age limitation or class limitation or racial/gender/tribal limitation or geographical limitation; anyone who submits themselves before The LORD Jesus Christ to be planted in the garden (vineyard) of The LORD is entitled to being born again. And when one thus becomes born again by being planted by The LORD Jesus Christ in the garden of The LORD, The LORD nourishes them through the anointing of The Holy Spirit and they thus blossom and become very bright, very magnificent and very powerful such that they become very spiritually big and huge in their walk with The LORD. And this is not by their power or mighty, but by The Spirit (The Holy Spirit) of The LORD.

Hence the word: Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants.” (Mark 4:32).

3-The third extract from the mystery of the mustard seed is that it is a reflection of a born-again son, daughter and child of The LORD who once he/she has become nourished by the power and the anointing of The Holy Spirit; then he/she oozes out the spiritual nutrients bestowed upon him/her and so he/she spreads out the anointing and power upon him/her and so reaches out (by preaching/sharing the word of God) to other people and nations of the earth who includes family, friends, neighbours, countrymen, colleagues and indeed the nations of the earth.

And upon them will they hear and derive the pure message of The LORD; the message of Repentance for the forgiveness of sins, the message of walking in Righteousness, The message of walking in Holiness, the message of walking in Truth and the message of walking in Complete Surrender to The LORD Jesus Christ and so preparing the way for the coming of The LORD Jesus Christ to Rapture His bride.

And so these spiritually nutrient-rich sons and daughters of The LORD will in effect be fulfilling their task/duty/great commission as is instructed by their Master The LORD Jesus Christ: Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Mathew 28:19-20). Hence the word: “with such big branches that the birds can perch in its shade”. (Mark 4:32).

The LORD would have thus out-poured His Spirit upon them (The planted Mustard seeds), just as He prophesied through His servant Joel in the book of Joel 2:28-29 which states as follows: “And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days.

4-The fourth extract from the mystery of the mustard seed is that it is a reflection of the Kingdom of Heaven. And that the mustard seed reflect those who eventually inherit the Kingdom of God Almighty in Heaven; because even though on the earth they embrace humility and simplicity and know that it is The LORD God Almighty, The LORD Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit that they depend on and upon whom their future lies; but in Heaven they will shine like the brightness of Heaven forever and ever.

And that is why when the mustard seed (The sons and daughters of The LORD who surrender their life to The LORD Jesus Christ by being born again) which is the smallest seed on the earth grows (becomes nourished by the anointing of The Holy Spirit) and eventually enters into Heaven, they shine in the presence of The LORD forever and ever; for then they acquire the nature and character of Heaven (And The LORD).They thus indeed are truly the wise ones; they thus inherit the everlasting life. Hence the fulfillment of the word: Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants.”

In contrast, those who refuse to accept The LORD Jesus Christ into their life through Repentance for the forgiveness of their sins and walking in Righteousness, Holiness, Truth and Complete Surrender to The LORD Jesus Christ; they actually face eternal shame in hell. They are thus the foolish ones, because pride clouded their souls, spirits, minds, hearts and body; they thus inherit everlasting contempt.

This is very beautifully captured in the book of Daniel 12:2-3 which states as follows: Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt. Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.

5-The fifth extract from the mystery of the mustard seed is that it is not the only seed in the garden; there are other seeds that are also in the garden. And so when these are planted, the mustard seeds outdo them. The mustard seeds thus become the most successful plant because it becomes very big and large.

Meaning that the born-again sons and daughters of The LORD are not the only ones on the earth (garden); there are also other people on the earth. At the end of it all, the born again (the wise ones) sons and daughters of The LORD enter Heaven (Everlasting Life) while the others (the foolish ones) enter hell (Everlasting death/condemnation).

Hence the word: It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest of all seeds on earth. Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants.” (Mark 4:31-32).

6-The sixth extract from the mystery of the mustard seed is that the mustard seed is a representation of faith; and how faith can lead to very great manifestation. And that regardless of the condition (financial, emotional, social, academic class etc) of a born again Christian; so long as they have faith in The LORD God Almighty, The LORD Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit and His very great power and that with God everything is possible, then they can do a lot of exploits in the name of The LORD. And that their faith in The LORD will outride their physical, social, financial, social etc standing/condition. This is well captured in the book of Mathew 17:14-20 which states as follows: ‘“When they came to the crowd, a man approached Jesus and knelt before him. “Lord, have mercy on my son,” he said. “He has seizures and is suffering greatly. He often falls into the fire or into the water. I brought him to your disciples, but they could not heal him.” “You unbelieving and perverse generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy here to me.” Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of the boy, and he was healed at that moment. Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?” He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

SHALOM!!! SHALOM!!! SHALOM!!!

Mark 4:30-32 ‘“Again he said, “What shall we say the kingdom of God is like, or what parable shall we use to describe it? It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest of all seeds on earth. Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds can perch in its shade.”

Mathew 13:31-32 ‘“He told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.”
